Inventory Reduction Sale Volunteers

Available Volunteer Slots:
  • Various dates/times between October 7 and November 3.
  • If you volunteer to set up the store before the sale, tasks include organizing and sizing clothes, arranging racks and transportation.
  • If you volunteer to help during store sale days, tasks include greeting and assisting customers and working at the checkout.

One Time Volunteer Opportunities

Interested in volunteering at Suits to Careers, Inc? Our organization has a wide variety of needs for volunteer support. We need volunteers who are available weekly or bi-weekly as well as individuals and groups willing to provide support for events that occur 1-3 times a year.

Every couple of months, our organization has an event or needs help with a one or two day project. These may be during regular work hours, or afterhours. Usually, volunteers are called upon for manual labor.

For these events, a request for volunteers will be sent out on social media and included in an e-newsletter or e-blast. Volunteers do not need to fill out our questionnaire, nor attend training prior to helping out, however, we do encourage both.

Examples include setting up a pop up store for Clothing Sales, inventory counting, transporting boxes or bins, etc. Volunteer shifts can range 3-6 hours long.

Available Volunteer Roles

Once you have filled out the Volunteer Questionnaire, our Training Manager will contact you regarding volunteer training.

Any volunteers who will have direct contact with our clients OR intend to regularly volunteer (once a month or more) with our organization must attend a volunteer training session.

Volunteer Training: Fourth Thursday of the month, 11am, except for November and December.

Following your training, please let our program managers know when you are available to start volunteering.
Personal Shoppers: Assist clients throughout the entire suiting process. Work with clients to select professional attire appropriate for their job prospects or current employment.

Donation Center Volunteer: Accept incoming donations, follow proceedures to sort, count and store clothing and accessories.

Career Center Specialist: Assist clients one on one with their job searches including resume review and cover letter writing. Conduct mock interviews and provide guidance for clients progressing through a job application process.

Speaker: Our organization often needs individuals who are comfortable speaking about their area of expertise in relation to job searches and employment. Possible topics include personal finance, life skills, workplace etiquette, etc.

Special Event Committee Member: Throughout the year our organization holds several events that need additional volunteer support.

Tabling Events: We need volunteers willing to represent our organization to the community at job fairs, employee workplace giving events and expos.

Administrative Support: Volunteers interested in a quieter role at our organization can assist with administrative tasks and data entry.

Corporate Volunteer Opportunities

Companies and local community groups may schedule a day to volunteer. These volunteer days can provide your company's employees with an opportunity to give back to the community as well as a chance to strengthen team relationships in a relaxed environment.

Project details will depend upon the size of the group and the amount of time the group would like to invest.
